We want to introduce to you the whole team behind the LOTUS simulator. We, Marcel and Janine, are glad to have each one of them involved and that they take a stand for LOTUS.
We all share the passion for local transport and simulations, humor and our friendship. Many thanks to all of them for their dedication! :-) |

>> [MarvinK]. The student of traffic business economics and cathedral organist from Hildesheim is used to control five keyboards and 77 registers simultaneously - by use of less than three hands! This is exactly what we cherish about him as a moderator.
His passion for music as well as local transport defines his leisure activities, as well as the assistance at the simulator itself - where both passions are involved likewise. |
 |
>>[TARS] is our man for big things. The administration of the LOTUS forum, the maintenance of feedback and suggestions concerning the forum and the make-up of forum announcements rest on him. |
LOTUS tests in content development |
 |
>> [Florian] is part of the team 'Tram Düsseldorf' and the YouTube channel 'CaptnUnbrauchbar'. His high standard of quality in object construction and map creation, especially in building real tram maps, aids us in leaving no wish behind. |
 |
>> [Julian], also a member of team 'Tram Düsseldorf' and the second member of the YouTube channel 'CaptnUnbrauchbar' is responsible for regularly crashing the simulator or the Content Tool with his trams. He is our man for the robustness of the program and nevertheless responsible for getting to the limits of visible practical details of a vehicle. |
 |
>> [Phillip] is the third member of 'Tram Düsseldorf' and is, together with Julian, concerned with the vehicle construction and the implementation of flawless technical relations in the vehicle scripts. |
 |
>> [Roland15] thought up and builded miscellaneous beautiful fictional towns in the past, which enjoy a high popularity because of their diversity and attention to detail. He claims his own demands for the map editor and keeps the construction and building tools on the go to pave the way into the simulator for future municipalities. |
 |
>> [RW1HH], actually Rolf, concerns about virtual vehicle making for simulators since 1999. His virtual vehicles are gorgeous, professional and created with a lot attention to details. His demands for LOTUS: Every feature of the real vehicle has to be adaptable by the simulated one. To meet that requirement, LOTUS already got expensive tinted windows... :-) |

>> [Teneberus]' special subject are Berlin busses, 2002/2003 model and the unbundling and re-organisation of passanger information, routes and displays in preferably universal shape.
Always up for a spontaneous local transport tour, he already provided us with one or two special information... |
 |
>> [Steven3233] is our multi platform instant support, 31 online, updates the Berlin Bus PIS and develops an addon....
He seeks and finds every single bug in LOTUS and is unfortunately responsible for like 50% of the filling degree of our todo lists. ;-) |
 |
>> [Trammi] provided us with dozens of gigabytes of information concerning the GT6N - thanks to his profound knowledge about that tram. For us, he meanwhile does not leave the flat without carrying a measuring tape in his pocket. The precision in model, sound and script of our virtual GT6N is owed to his passion for simulations, VR, trams and technics. |
 |
>> [Yufa] produces numerous high-quality szenery objects for LOTUS, which will belong to the standard scope of LOTUS and can hence be used on every map.
Yufa already set a high standard with street objects and road markings for other simulations. |

>> [Feder] checks the simulation and its environment for security gaps to prevent developers and users from issues. His work is high-class and essential to us.
In addition to this, Feder established an emergency hotline for Janine's crashs with Apache web servers. :-) |
Let's now take a look at the minds behind the simulator itself: |
Development of the simulator |
 |
>> [Marcel] is chief executive and the simulator's main developer. He is responsible for engine and simulation development, vehicles, content development kit and scenery building.
Marcel's know-how in the simulation sector began in 1997, when he developed and published addons for "Microsoft Flight Simulator for Windows 95". In 2007 he published the first commercial FSX addons and began the development of the first own bus simulator.
Marcel's motivation is his fascination for the true to original implementation of real technical and natural models - former as LEGO, subsequently as 3D objects and last but not least with whole own simulators.
Marcel's secret: Nutella intravenously, 6 tons of LEGO at the office, flying BN-2 Islanders after work. |
>> [Janine] is responsible for creation and development of the graphical user interface, the whole multiplayer, the head quarters, scenery building, character animation, usability and much more. Furthermore she assumes the whole communication with you.
Janine's demanding quality awareness is going to become important in multiple aspects of the development. Her background in computer games is mainly located in MMORPGs, MOBAs and RTS games. She gathered experience from a player's perspective as well as in technical details. Janine's affinity for technics and logistics and her passion for computer games induced her to participate in the development of LOTUS.
Janine's secret: The Simpsons and Futurama (even on company time!), eating Sushi, listening to the Spotify Playlist for LOTUS. |
